Conditions are so bad in this residential fire that a firefighter is forced to bail out the window head first. There is no information included with the video, so I am under the assumption this was an actual fire not a training event. Looking on how we may improve the situation next time we could have possibly placed the ladder in a better position so that the firefighter could get out onto the ladder and do a typical ladder slide. This would have increased the odds of a safer landing.
This video also proves with the stuff hits the fan you will get out by any means possible, and ending up with some broken bones is probably better then the alternative.
